Highlights of the 1999-2000 year include: CRECA banquet held in April with Heather Gothard featured as the main speaker talking about how important children are and what our roles as teachers and professionals should be in helping children. Sharon Ford presented a workshop on making books fun and exciting in your classroom. Joyce Bullock presented a program on developmentally appropriate ways of implementing Multicultural Education in the classroom following our chili dinner in February. Both presentations were outstanding, giving participants many new and exciting ideas for working with children and parents. The Fall CRECA Conference was held at Cookeville High School on 8/2/00. A total of 22 presenters were planned for the conference. The general session presenters were three Wolf Trap artists from Nashville presenting dance, music and storytelling.
