  • Is a not-for-profit organization with almost 2,000 members who are concerned with the development of young children from birth to age eight.
  • Coordinates the efforts of the members and others in promoting the general welfare of and improving the quality of programs for all of Tennessee's young children.
  • Provides opportunities for the membership to enhance their experiences and to increase their knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices in the care and education of young children.
  • Is governed by a Board of Directors and Council of Presidents.
