NWAEYC held its annual Spring Confer-ence on 4/18/00 on the campus of UT Martin. The theme was "Professional Growth - How Does Your Garden Grow?" It was held to kick off the Week of the Young Child April 10-14. It was a great conference and we want to say "thank you" to our Program Committee and everyone who worked on this committee to make it a success. Our keynote speaker was Sandra Turner, an associate professor of Education at Shelby State Community College. She also held a workshop on Leadership in Early Childhood Education. Our Program Committee has already started planning our Fall Conference to be held at the Dyersburg State Campus in Trenton on 9/16/00.
Our Director's Retreat for the summer was held at Paris Landing on 6/16-17. Terry Hull, President of TAEYC, conducted a workshop on "Ethical Conduct in Early Childhood."
We want to invite all of you who are not members of NWAEYC to join and become a part of a professional organization for child care providers.
